Birmingham Adult Education Service provides a range of adult education courses for the residents of Birmingham. As well as an extensive programme of accredited courses, we are also offering free community learning courses in the community. These courses are aimed that people furthest away from the learning journey who will benefit from taster sessions to build their skills and confidence and can be a pathway for them to undertake accredited courses to support them into the employment.

We are currently providing the following community learning courses:

  • Early years
  • Family wellbeing
  • Basic English
  • Maths
  • Digital Skills
  • Arts and Crafts
  • Healthy Living
  • Route to work
  • Green living

Each course is 6 weeks long and each session is 2 hours.

We will be offering a further range of courses later in the year including:

  • Healthy mind healthy body
  • Life in the UK
  • Media
  • Confidence and resilience

We are looking for partners in the community who are willing to host our tutors at their centres, as these courses will be a great addition to the services organisation are providing to their service users. All materials are provided by us, we require a room that is adequate to teach people in. Each class should have a minimum of 8 learners.
