PeoplePlus is a leading public service provider, we run a wide range of frontline public services including employment support, skills training and independent living. We are the largest independent provider of prison education in the UK and deliver the Warwickshire and West Mercia Community Rehabilitation contract, where we employ over 270 people and have supported more than 15,000 service users in 7 locations since 2015.

PeoplePlus currently has a commissioning opportunity that we are currently looking to bid for in London, Kent, Staffordshire and West Yorkshire.

Overview of Commissioning Opportunity:

PeoplePlus are currently seeking partners to bid for the Young Offender Institutions, Education Services Retender. The commissioner is currently holding stakeholder events with the aim of releasing an invitation to tender in Sept 2021.

As part of the youth custody reform programme, more funding and autonomy over the core week have been devolved to governors of young offender institutions (YOIs) with the aim of better meeting these needs and integrating learning services into a holistic model of care. Education services will be flexible in the way they are delivered and agile enough to continue to meet the needs of young offenders as those needs change over time. Education will form part of a holistic and well-rounded experience for young offenders in custody and will provide an important part of health promotion, increasing positive health and wellbeing outcomes, underpinned by a collaborative and integrated whole system approach to trauma and psychologically informed care.

We are seeking expressions of interest from a diverse range of organisations to increase participant integration and support, therefore, if you are interested in this opportunity, please follow this link that will take you to our expression of interest.
