Lisa Martinali - Vice Chair

Lisa Martinali is Director of Community Regeneration at The Pioneer Project and is the Third Sector Assembly Champion for the Children and Young People Network.

Lisa acts as a conduit for information between the statutory bodies working in Children and Young People's services and the wider third sector, through the Third Sector Assembly and other existing thematic third sector networks in Birmingham.

Lisa says: "Over the last few years I have become increasingly passionate about getting ‘more involved’ to support the voluntary and community sector.  This has mainly been due to the changing environment in which we now work and the challenges and opportunities that we face on a day-to-day basis.

No-one ever said it was going to be easy, however, the opportunities that have arisen for the sector to play a more active part locally have been assisted with the establishment of the Third Sector Assembly.  My role as a Champion for Children and Young People will assist in raising the profile of the excellent work that is undertaken by community and voluntary organisations. I aim to maximise the opportunities for our sector to be genuinely involved in discussions that set the agenda for children and young people within Birmingham.

As Director of The Pioneer Project, I am more than aware of the issues the sector face and I look forward to helping to shape, with support and input from others, our key priorities to enable a ‘thriving voluntary and community  sector’ for children and young people."
