St. Peter’s (Saltley) HA is looking to recruit new Board members to enhance the already enviable skillset of our existing Board members.

St. Peter’s is a small HA based in Saltley, Birmingham one of the most deprived areas within Birmingham, it holds a unique place in the local area as being within a Grade II listed building, built in 1850. The Association is a Registered Provider and was formed in 1985 and currently we have 99 units, within our main site being 1,2, and 3-bedroom flats that are a mixture of general needs and supported over 55’s housing.

Plus, an additional 6 houses that are all traditional 3-bedroom terraced houses all within the local area. Further, we currently have an existing arrangement with another provider leasing nearly 600 homes across the Midland’s that Spring Housing manage on our behalf, plus a community facility in Stratford on Avon (Fred Winter Centre). We are currently in the process of withdrawing from the arrangement that was always mutually agreed to be a temporary arrangement.

St. Peter’s is a well-managed and financially secure business that is completely debt free and consistently posts a healthy surplus, as well as investing wisely in our existing homes to ensure they are of the highest standard.
Applications are particularly sought from people with a financial background either in social housing or within the financial sector generally, to increase the expertise across the current board members, who are mainly from a range of senior housing backgrounds, further we are fortunate to have a St. Peter’s tenant who is currently the vice Chair of our Board.
