Having completed the Feasibility and  Discovery Phases of the YEF Neighbourhood Fund place based  programme, the CRCD has now entered the Co-Design Phase. This will result in the development of a costed action plan to take forward action(s) to reduce youth violent crime in the Lozells and Newtown area. Successful completion of this process will enable YEF to invest up to £1 million to implement the action plan for up to 5 years. To support the work beyond the co-design phase, YEF is seeking to identify a ‘Lead Organisation’. The Lead Organisation will commence activity when the CRCD completes the co-design of the local action plan in December 2022.

To support the role the organisation will receive £200,000 over the five-year delivery period. This sum is part of the £1 million investment by YEF to support the action plan.

The Lead Organisation will have dedicated support from the YEF ‘Learning Partner’ to help with Neighbourhood Fund learning and evaluation requirements. The Lead Organisation will also have access to capacity-building support, assisting both the Lead Organisation and delivery partners with infrastructure development as required.

It is anticipated that the Lead Organisation will not be funded to deliver activity set out in the local action plan, however this will be considered on a case-by-case basis should the Lead Organisation be considered best placed to deliver some element of activity within the action plan.

The CRCD has initiated a process to appoint the Lead Organisation, the first stage of which is an Expression of Interest (EOI). The closing date for receipt of EOIs is the 3rdOctober 2022 by 5.00pm.
