Friday, 9 November, 2018

Are you looking for a creative outlet, something music-based? Are you a young musician or looking to start making music? Or would you prefer helping behind the scenes?

'On The Edge' is a registered music charity providing accessible music making experiences for children and young people across Birmingham. We work with a number of regions in the city, including Greater Icknield in the North and Edgbaston wards and Kings Heath amongst areas in the South of the city. If you're looking for new ways to develop your interests in music you may want to get involved with one of our current projects.

Two ongoing music projects continue over half-term include Milebrook Music at Milebrook Hall, Bartley Green, on Tuesdays, 5-6pm, and Scratch Studios - the charity's latest project which takes place at two venues, Summerfield Community Centre and Kings Heath Community Centre, on Wednesday and Thursday nights respectively, 6:30 to 7:30pm.

Specialist musicians lead the groups and projects include opportunities for children and young people aged 8 to 25, with a variety of music making experiences to tempt music makers of all abilities.

'On The Edge' is a registered Arts Award centre, and all projects count towards Arts Award evidence. The charity also has a number of volunteer opportunties for young people that develop employability skills, details of which can be found on the Do-it website.

New faces are always welcome, we look forward to meeting you.
