Tender Opportunity: Focus Groups - Seldom Heard Food Conversations
As part of shaping the approach to creating a Healthy Food City in Birmingham the Public Health Division at Birmingham City Council is looking to commission a series of targeted focus group conversations about food and nutrition with communities that are rarely heard.
The conversations will focus around the following topics:
- Food Beliefs & Choices
- Access to food
- Food transformation & consumptions
- Food security
- Food waste
- Food and Climate Change
The Council is looking to fund up to 30 different focus groups, the maximum contract value for each focus group is £2,000.00 (excl VAT). The provider may tender for one or more targeted focus groups, however, the council expects no individual bid to exceed £10,000.00.
The findings from these conversations will help influence the development of the Healthy Food City action plan that is aiming to shape a better food environment for citizens in Birmingham.
Full details of the tender can be found on Find it in Birmingham by searching ‘Seldom Heard Food Conversations’.
Interested parties should submit a proposal, no longer than two pages of A4 (per focus group) and no more than four pages (if more than one focus group is being applied for). Proposals should include any relevant experience of carrying out focus group work as well as experience of working with the target groups identified.
Deadline for Submissions: 12:00pm 18th September 2019
Deadline for delivery and reporting: 30th November 2019
