People over 50 share their thoughts on ageing and community
The Age of Experience group is made up of people from Birmingham who are over the age of 50 and have lived experience of social isolation. Members of the group help steer the direction of the Ageing Better in Birmingham programme, make decisions and support activity that help make Birmingham a friendlier city, reduces social isolation and loneliness and support a grassroots movement of active citizens. They are taking action to help tackle social isolation in people over 50 in Birmingham and act as champions for the programme.
Members are a key "ingredient" to help making sustainable change in Birmingham, and members have taken pen to paper to share their experiences of ageing, connecting with people and their involvement in programme activity.
