PALS or Customer service departments were established in April 2002 as one of the tools for supporting patient and public involvement. Providing information and on the spot help for patients, their families and carers. PALS or Customer Services departments were established to be a powerful lever for change and improvement.

Healthwatch Birmingham is independent of NHS and social care services in the city. We provide patients and the public with ways to feedback and have a stronger say about the services they use. We have the power to ensure that those organisations that design, run or regulate NHS and social care listen to people’s views and act on them. To find out more about what we do visit our website here
