Carers Week: 10th - 16th June 2019

Monday, 10 June, 2019

This year’s focus is ‘Getting Carers Connected in their communities’ – acknowledging that making time to connect with others is vital for good wellbeing, that this can only better the support for the loved ones people care for. It is estimated that there are over 100,000 people across Birmingham caring for a family member or friend. As such there is lots of activity happening across Birmingham during Carers Week with the aim of:

  • Connecting Carers to their communities
  • Raising awareness of the amazing support Carers provide every day
  • Supporting Carers and the cared for to access the support and services that are available to them
