Birmingham carer-friendly business awards
The deadline for entries into the first Carer Friendly Business Awards Birmingham Ceremony has been extended until Wednesday, August 14.
The awards, which have been launched by Forward Carers, are for businesses across the city which have contributed to supporting carers in their community and, or, workplace.
For the Community Business Award, members of the public can nominate any business which has provided them with a positive experience relating to the role of carer.
Anyone can nominate managers, colleagues and individuals who going above and beyond those who are in a caring role in the Carer Friendly Champion Award.
There is also the Working for Carers Award where in order for the organisation to be eligible, it must be signed up to the Working For Carers scheme.
The awards ceremony event will take place on Tuesday, September 17, at the Hallmark Birmingham Strathallan hotel, in Hagley Road, between 8am and 10.30am.
During the event, we will be showcasing and celebrating organisations and businesses who are already committed to supporting Carers in their workforce.
There will be a presentation on ‘Supporting the carers in your workforce makes business sense presentation’ will be delivered at the city’s first carer-friendly awards programme.
