Migration Policy & Practice, Co-ordinator - Outreach and Community Engagement Vacancy Birmingham Settlement, Closing date: 27 March Migration Policy & Practice (CIO) is a small regional project working with voluntary and community sector organisations in Birmingham and the Black Country who support migrants. The project aims to improve communication and coordination across all sectors, to give voice, aid effective settlement, and promote positive integration across the region. Closing date: 27 March 2023, Interviews: 31 March 2023. 21 Hours per week£28,000 per annum (pro-rata) + contributory pension scheme25 days A/L (pro-rata)Initial contract to 30 September 2023The role involves leading on one of our key areas of work, conducting outreach with migrants in the region to understand barriers to settlement, and obtaining evidence that will be fed into an annual Sector Assessment report.Key activities include:• Organising and conducting focus group events at partner locations across the region.• Engaging with partner organisations and members of the community.• Developing contacts, links and relationships with voluntary groups.• Administrative support for outreach events• Communication and publicity for outreach activity• Summarising key findingsThe role is an initial contract to end of September 2023 providing parental leave cover.
