Are you friendly and outgoing? Do you enjoy talking to people and sharing your passion for history? Would you love being part of the team of Birmingham’s most unusual heritage attraction? Then get involved and join us at the Coffin Works!

This fantastic grade II* listed building, which made coffin furniture for over 100 years, offers visitors the extraordinary opportunity to ‘step back in time’ and experience the factory as a ‘time-capsule’, set in the company's heyday of the 1960s. Full of original stock and machinery, from brass handles to silk shrouds, there is many a tale to tell!

Room Enablers have a vital role to play in bringing the Coffin Works Museum to life, inspiring visitors and helping them learn more about the history of our factory in an interesting and enjoyable way. You will be responsible for welcoming visitors into each room of the museum, sharing the stories and history of the building, directing them around, answering any questions and generally being a friendly point of contact.

There are opportunities to build up into Tour Guiding and help with Front of House and collection conservation as well.
