Full time: 37.5 hours per week

The post holder will be required to work alongside the Domestic Abuse Service Manager to provide high-quality support and safety planning to women and children in crisis within our refuge accommodation and in the community

  • provide support to the Support/Outreach Workers in the refuge and in the community
  • Identify the risks and the needs of survivors of domestic abuse and other forms of violence and abuse, through enabling women to assess and manage risk to their own and their children safety
  • regularly review Individual Support Plans (ISP) for each service user with staff
  • review casework records with staff to ensure they are kept up to date.
  • attend case conferences and meetings that may affect women and their children’s welfare.
  • attend MARAC meeting for high-risk clients.
  • maintain the security and well-being of survivors of domestic abuse and other forms of violence and abuse towards women and children, and to communicate immediately with the Domestic Abuse Services Manager any breaches of security, house rules or occupancy agreements especially where there is concern about safety.
  • support the management of health and safety, security, and Housing management tasks within a refuge.

The ability to work as part of an on-call rota is essential and occasional evening/weekend work in emergency situations.
