SIFA Fireside, Closing date: 28 September

The Housing Transition Worker role is based at SIFA Fireside’s main Support Centre in Digbeth. The role sits within the service delivery team and works directly with Birmingham City Council’s Housing Options team, as well as working alongside Rough Sleeper Initiative and other statutory services, to prevent homelessness and rough sleeping. This service supports adults living in supported exempt accommodation to remain in their existing accommodation, or where  newly housed.

The service will deliver housing related support and signpost to other services as appropriate, including but not limited to, education or training, employment support and tenancy management workshops. The service will also liaise with landlords where needed to resolve issues and ensure a smooth transition into accommodation, preventing a return to rough sleeping through a time limited intervention and referrals into appropriate support services where needed.

Fixed term positions for six months initially.

Full time position salary - £23,641 pro rata Part time position £14,185 pro rata.
