University Hospitals Birmingham Charity is seeking two new trustees to join our Board.

We are particularly interested in hearing from anyone with the following:

· Marketing, PR or digital fundraising experience

· Knowledge of the communities across Birmingham that our four hospitals serve

The patients and staff of University Hospitals Birmingham NHS Foundation Trust are at the heart of everything we do. The Charity makes a difference by giving grants for equipment, facilities, research and training that are over and above what can be provided by the NHS and has funded over £60 million for the above since 2010.

You would be coming to the Charity at an exciting time of change as we are in a stage of growth, with an aim to almost double our income over the next five years. This will allow us to further support the four hospitals that make up the Trust: Heartlands, Good Hope, Solihull and Queen Elizabeth Hospital Birmingham.

We are currently seeking some essential skills and knowledge, as set out in the Person Specification, but the Trustees are keen to ensure that there is a diversity of perspective and challenge on the Board, and that it is representative of the communities served by the hospital. We therefore welcome applications from all sections of the community including, for example, LGBTQ+, Black, Asian and minority ethnic communities, those living with disabilities, people under 40 years old.

Full details can be found in our Trustee Recruitment Information Pack which you can download from our website

If you would be interested in joining our Trustee Board, please send your CV and a covering letter telling us about your motivation for joining the Board, what skills or experience you feel you will bring to the role and what you would like to learn, to the Nominations Committee Secretary at [email protected].  Closing date is 31 May 2022.
