JOB TITLE: Fundraising Manager

RESPONSIBLE TO: Director

LOCATION: Soho House Visitor Centre, Handsworth

SALARY: £25,000 – £28,000 dependent on experience

PENSION: 5% of salary

HOURS: 37 hours per week

TERMS: An initial two-year appointment, subject to a six-month probationary period

Purpose of the Role

The post-holder will work alongside the Director to initiate, develop and maintain relationships with, and secure funds from, individual donors, trusts and foundations, statutory bodies, and local businesses. The successful candidate will develop strategies and plans to significantly increase income over the next five years.

Community Champions

Our Community Champions programme builds on the skills and knowledge of local communities. We bring local people and services together to improve health and wellbeing and to reduce social inequalities. We develop effective solutions for local areas, by giving residents and communities the tools and resources to identify local issues and problems and to come up with their own solutions. We always welcome new people to join our teams of community champions in different functions the organisation. The role of the community champions to raise awareness by organising stalls, talks, presentations at community centres, health fairs and local festivals and to provide active signposting to local services and support.

• Be committed to improve the health and wellbeing of your community.
• Be able to attend a 2-day training session organised in your local area.
• Be committed to volunteering to put into practice the knowledge gained at 4 events per year (minimum).
