Northfield Community Partnership are looking for volunteers able to offer their time and skills to help us deliver this valuable service. We are open Monday to Friday and prepare food parcels from 10 am-3 pm. Referrals are received throughout the day, and food parcels are made in advance. We deliver the food parcels directly to people's homes in our local area.

Anyone can find themselves in times of financial hardship, for a variety of reasons. As a charity, we help to deliver support, when it's needed most. Our foodbank provides a lifeline to people, and although it's not a long- term solution it provides assistance until any underlying core reasons can be addressed.

Due to increasing demand, and limited capacity, we are looking for people who are passionate about helping others, who are able to offer a morning or afternoon a week, or possibly more. There are different roles available:

  • Food Collection & Storage volunteer: Using your own transport, you will collect from our donation points and deliver to our premises. We also appreciate assistance unpacking the food, ready to be prepared into parcels.
  • Food Parcel Preparation Volunteer: Following the list of referred clients, you will use initiative to create food parcels using suitable items for the client group.
  • Food Bank Delivery Driver: Collecting food parcels from our food bank, you will deliver food parcels in a safely to clients in the local area.

Practical Considerations
We will provide clear guidelines and support, with relevant training. We are based in Northfield's central shopping region, opposite the Northfield Shopping Centre- an accessible location with excellent transport links. DBS will be arranged for relevant roles.
