Role: Food bank Satellite Lead Volunteer Where: All Saints Church, Albert Road, Stechford, B33 8UA When: Every Friday Time commitment: 12 pm - 3pm Main contact: Volunteer & Satellite Coordinator

Overview of the role: This role involves contributing to the smooth running of the food bank, supporting volunteers, coordinating activities and being the main point of contact for and queries for the duration of the session. 

Key tasks:
Lead, supervise and motivate a team of volunteers
Organise the volunteer rota and flag up any shortages to your main contact
Support the recruitment and induction of new volunteers as required
Oversee and delegate tasks to ensure the smooth running of the foodbank
Uphold safeguarding, health and safety and hygiene policies, reporting any concerns to your Main Contact
Ensure food bank policies and procedures are followed
Create a welcoming, caring and friendly atmosphere for volunteers and people coming to the foodbank
Lead a volunteer debrief at the end of each session
Attend team leader meetings as required
Regularly report to your Main Contact

You will be given all the required training and support before starting your role.
