Five Ways To Wellbeing

Wellbeing in Birmingham

The Birmingham Mental Health Awareness Five Ways to Wellbeing Programme, commissioned by the Joint Mental Health Commissioning Team, has been developed to challenge stigma and discrimination experienced by people with mental health issues through a city-wide training programme.

Birmingham Voluntary Service Council is working with Birmingham Mind and Common Unity to promote the five ways to wellbeing. We are running a series of training courses across the city that:

  • Discuss mental health and mental illness
  • Address stigma and discrimination associated with poor mental health, and
  • Explore how individuals can use the five ways to improve their own mental wellbeing

We have also developed a Five Ways to Wellbeing Toolkit to help people use the Five Ways every day.
