Refugee Entrepreneurship & Skills - A MiFriendly Cities ‘Refugee Week’ 2019 Event
Join us as we turn the spotlight on some individuals who arrived as refugees and migrants in our region and have overcome adversity to establish successful businesses and careers. And we will launch our MiFriendly Cities Birmingham Employability initiative delivering free advice and support to communities. Our MiFriendly partners will be offering lots of opportunities to get involved in the project and there will be career advice and guidance available. The event wants to inspire refugees and migrants to fulfil their potential, get inspired and leave the event with recharged motivation to pursue ambitions along with a network of people, ideas and practical tips to support them to do this.
This event is part of a programme of activities coordinated by Celebrating Sanctuary for Refugee Week 2019. The event will be opened by Cllr John Cotton and is hosted by the Bosnia & Herzegovina UK Network.
