Join the Institute of Fundraising at this free event to explore what makes a great ‘case for support’ and what lessons we can learn from the wider charitable sector. Alongside experts in the field, a group discussion will compare a range of examples and techniques.

In addition, attendees will enjoy a private tour of BMAG’s current ‘Birmingham Revolutions’ Exhibition. https://www.birminghammuseums.org.uk/bmag/whats-on/birmingham-revolutions-power-to-the-people

Taking place at the internationally renowned, Birmingham Museum and Art Gallery, this event will focus on the creation of a strong and successful ‘Case for Support’. One of the challenges often faced by arts and heritage organisations is how to best articulate the charitable case for culture and demonstrate the varied impacts and outcomes of their activities. A cohesive and powerful case for support is vital in demonstrating the artistic and social benefits of an organisation’s work, however an attempt to compete with the emotive messaging of non-arts and heritage charities, can often lead to mission drift, a disproportionate focus on certain projects and a lack of clarity.
