This full day of interactive learning covers the key skills that any employee needs in order to reach their full potential within an organisation.
This course covers:
- Time Management: Handling the "time stealers" and creating space to work on priorities
- Objective setting:Learning a process that not only sets objectives but develops a plan to deliver them
- Communication skills: Exploring how to increase persuasiveness in all forms of communication as well as avoiding email blunders
- Workplace assertiveness: Tips and advice to handle awkward situations with your colleagues and your manager.
These subjects build on your own experience, combined with the trainer's 30 years of management within the third sector, to provide a complete session for any staff member looking to be the best they can at work.
Who is it suitable for?
This course is suitable for employees who are not yet managing people, but who want to develop their skills to prepare themselves for the next step. It is also suitable for anyone looking for a refresher.
This is a one day course that includes a one-hour individual coaching session (to take place in central Birmingham) for each delegate. Refreshments are included throughout the day, including a sandwich lunch. The venue is fully accessible. However, please make us aware of any access or dietary requirements in advance as we will do our very best to meet individual needs to ensure a great training experience for all delegates.
The trainer is Rob Legge who is a successful independent leadership trainer and coach. Previously he was a Director at Sense, Leonard Cheshire, RNIB and Oxfam as well as enjoying ten years as CEO of Focus Birmingham.
