Windrush International Conference Friday 25th October 2024

This is a formal invitation to our 3rd Windrush International Conference which will take place:

Date: Friday 25th October 2024

Venue: The Edgbaston Park Hotel and Conference Centre, Edgbaston Park Road, Edgbaston Birmingham B15 2RS.

The conference will commence 8.00am with registration with a prompt 9.00am start and will conclude at 4.15pm.

The contents of the Conference will be confirmed shortly however it will include:

Morning Session until 1.00am

1. A Government Minister (To be confirmed)

2. Plenary Sessions on the Windrush Status and Compensation Schemes.

3. The attendance of the Home Office Windrush team, including the Director, Engagement and Policy team.

4. Windrush Organisations and Advocates

5. High Commissioners (To be confirmed)

6. The Parliamentary Ombudsman Service (To be confirmed)

Afternoon Session 1.45pm - 4.15pm

This will consists of workshops on:

Education

Criminal Justice

Civil Rights

Advocacy & Civic Engagement

If you are able to participate in a workshop please let us know.

There will be a conference administrative fee of £20 which will cover lunch and all refreshments.

This will be followed by our Gala Dinner and Fundraiser to our Windrush Fund which will commence as follows:

Drinks reception at 6.30pm

Dinner promptly served at 7.30pm.

The evening will conclude at 1.00am. (Further details will be available shortly and the ticket prices will be £70.00 and a table of 10 will be £650.00).
