Voluntary Sector and Volunteering Research Conference The Voluntary Sector and Volunteering Research Conference is the largest gathering of charity, voluntary action, and VCFSE research practitioners in the UK. Taking place every year, it brings together researchers and practitioners to hear about ground-breaking ideas, host workshops and symposiums, and includes a number of expert plenary speakers. This year the conference theme is Action, Difference, and Change in Local Civil Society with a special focus on how charity and community action and activism survive or thrive at the local level; how local voluntary sectors differ and change over time; and what role local civil society plays in building a better society. Alongside this theme, the conference will feature research on issues such as fundraising, policy, finances, and all manner of issues related to the voluntary sector. Submissions are open, and we want to hear from everyone interested in research across voluntary organisations, community groups, and academia. The conference provides a warm and welcoming space– our New Researchers Stream gives extra support to those new to research, and this year features a bonus welcome event on Monday 11 September. Booking will open in May, with prices starting from £140 for two-day attendance, including lunches, drinks reception and a special conference dinner. You can find out everything you need to know about the conference here or please email [email protected] if you have any questions.
