Our door is open and we can help you for a lifetime.
When we set up Legacy Consultants, it was because we wanted to teach organisations and companies how to effectively engage with the black community, not just for a day, but for a lifetime. We are determined to see the missteps that have been taken in recent times to be a thing of the past, not just for a moment in time.
Over the last few weeks, we have been giving advice and consultation to organisations who have made errors in judgement when it comes to doing real effective stakeholder engagement within the Black and Asian community in particular, but we don’t want it to stop there.
Sometimes it is only after something goes wrong when companies react and try to fix things, but this is difficult, where do you begin? How do you correct the mistakes and more importantly how can you ensure that the steps taken next are meaningful and not done out of frustration or the need to tick a box?
Another common theme that has happened so far this year (2022) is that for many companies we have worked with, they insist that they just cannot find the time, to explore how they will improve their stakeholder engagement and ensure their organisation is diverse and inclusive, even though based on evidence, research and experience, these things take time to embed to see real behavioural change and to go on and really ensure an effective and impactful journey.
How do we ensure that the communities and stakeholders we are trying to engage have a relationship with our organisation and build trust if no time has been taken to discuss, plan and foster vital relationships with the very community we are trying to reach?
Whilst we appreciate that time is valuable and there are a million and one actions that need to be completed, early investment in training around race, diversity and how to effectively engage ethnically diverse communities is essential to ensure that your stakeholder engagement has maximum impact.
Let us help you to ensure that effective engagement remains at the top of your agenda.
