• Describe and understand the role and main responsibilities of managers and named and designated leads/officers.
• Explore your own values regarding adult abuse and the impact these can have on professional conduct.
• Explore the barriers can prevent staff and adults at risk from reporting concerns and how to overcome them.
• Understand how to respond effectively to an adult who reports abuse and how to support and supervise staff in making referrals.
• Explain the issues connected to recording and sharing information, including confidentiality.
