QAC Information Day for Professionals

Queen Alexandra College (QAC) is a national, residential College and community charity that supports a diverse range of student abilities and needs.

These events provide an opportunity for professionals to meet our staff and students and discover more about our 16-25 curriculum, employment pathways, residential provision, supported living options, community-based services, rehabilitation and travel training, use of assistive technology and much more.

These events are free of charge and include lunch.

The Big Bang Fair

The Big Bang Fair returns Wednesday 22 to Friday 24 June 2022 at The NEC in Birmingham and is seeking volunteers from the STEM world who can spark the imaginations and inspire the engineers and science of tomorrow.
Restore Befrienders Training Course

Restore is known primarily as a befriending project. Trained volunteers meet with a refugee or asylum seeker about once a fortnight to offer the opportunity to share together, develop English language skills, explain British systems and culture, visit places of interest and signpost to other services. Our training course is an opportunity for anybody to find out more about refugee issues, about Restore, and about becoming a befriender.
Participatory research in social care: A learning and networking event

Participants will be invited to share their experiences of participatory research. It will be a chance to get to know each other, share issues and dilemmas, and create a space for mutual support and learning. The project defines social care in the broadest sense as ‘supporting people to do the things they value and enjoy’.

Household Support Fund open for applications

Support is available to households in Birmingham over the winter using funding from the government’s Household Support Fund.

Birmingham Holiday Activities and Food Grant Programme 2021
