With the changing nature of extremism, recruitment and language it is highly important that everyone with access to communities & young people must fully understand the evolving threat and how it manifests within hearts & minds.
The Active Change Foundation has developed an extensive, practical and interactive one-day training that is aimed to provide delegates with an in-depth understanding of radicalisation in all its forms. It will provide you with a range of skills, tools and techniques to enable you to safeguard people vulnerable to being drawn into extremism and radicalisation.
The training includes a comprehensive range of practical examples and scenarios to allow delegates to learn from real life case studies. It is designed to build confidence and facilitate the effective implementation of the government's CONTEST Strategy including the Prevent Duty.
Unique to this training will be a Q&A session with an individual that has been affected by extremism and whom the Active Change Foundation has been working with.
By the end of the training, delegates will have an enhanced understanding of all the issues and challenges related to radicalisation. Delegates will have greater confidence dealing with vulnerable individuals.

Who is the training suitable for:
The Active Change Foundation:
Since 2003 we have been working to bring about real and effective change in the community and beyond, preventing the spread of violent street crime, gang related issues, community tensions & extremism in all its forms. We have a highly unique and in-depth understanding of the social, cultural and faith issues that need addressing in the community.
Our vision is a just society that values young people and communities to enable them to live in a safe and peaceful world. The vibrant youth centre is our focal point. It offers a wide range of activities for young people and is open to everyone. Our outreach and engagement teams patrol the neighbourhood to identify potential issues that can lead to conflict.
We also deliver different projects throughout the year, such as our award-winning Young Leaders Programme, projects specifically designed for females and activities centred around healthy living.
We also provide tailor-made interventions for individuals and families vulnerable to extremist or gang related activity. We have an open door policy that provides advocacy and support to those in need. Through our monthly magazine and campaigns, we discuss relevant issues and provide young people and the community with a voice.
In addition to this, we provide training to individuals, schools, colleges and institutions.
