A free lunch and learn event for community organisations and charities to find out more about the work Ovacome are doing to reduce health inequalities in cancer care and support, and explore partnership opportunities.

Ovacome knows that health inequalities have a significant impact on an ovarian cancer diagnosis and they are holding this event to explore ways to tackling this. They know that when people are diagnosed late there are fewer treatment options and poorer survival rates. They also know that in some parts of Birmingham and the surrounding towns that there are poor rates of early diagnosis and that some people also really struggle to access support and information that they need.

This is a great opportunity to find out more about the work Ovacome are doing to reduce barriers in accessing ovarian cancer symptom messaging and support after a diagnosis. Come along and enjoy free refreshments and lunch and find out more about translated resources and partnership opportunities. They have some funding available to spread awareness of the signs and symptoms of the disease and they can make funds available to cover your costs if your organisation would be prepared to work with them.

They would love to find out more about the work you are doing in the Birmingham and West Midlands area and welcome opportunities to work together. If you are supporting anyone who may benefit from finding out more, please feel free to bring them along.

Whilst this is a drop in event and you don't need to book, please contact Liz Waters [email protected] for any further information.
