This Institute of Leadership and Management Level 2 course is designed to help you boost your performance as a team member and help you make the transition from working in a team to leading a team. This course is ideal if you have recently been promoted into your first supervisory/managerial job role and if you are already a practising team leader, it will help you be more effective and confident in your role.

On successful completion of this course you could progress into a supervisory or leadership role within your current organisation or apply for supervisory and managerial job roles in other organisations.

You must be working at literacy level 2

You must have computer and internet access at home along with a microphone and camera installed to allow you to engage fully with the online lessons

You must be able to bring your own laptop to the residential weekends to access the course Microsoft TEAMS site and other digital resources

You will need to have basic word processing skills to complete assignments

Learning Objectives
You will develop practical leadership and management knowledge and skills across the following disciplines:

Managing Yourself: knowing how to use effective personal time management to achieve team goals and how to manage own stress
Leading your Work Team: understanding the difference between leadership and management; understanding a range of leadership styles, their benefits and potential impact on individuals and performance

This course will help you to develop your professional life and work skills to improve your effectiveness.
