Congratulations to All Winners of West Midlands Natural Environment Awards!

Birmingham City Community Groups and Schools were among those who won and were highly commended at the West Midlands Natural Environment Awards on Tuesday. Kings Rise Academy Knowledge and Education in Nature (KRAKEN), Kingstanding won in the Education category whilst Handsworth Association of Schools Green Mentor programme were “Highly Commended” in the Community category. Business Guru Appointed Chair of Trustees at Sport 4 Life UK

West Midlands leading sport-for-employment charity Sport 4 Life UK has appointed business guru Mike Gahir as Chair of its Board of Trustees. Mike is a financial and business development professional with considerable experience in leading organisations as an executive and non-executive director. Following a number of director roles at major banks over the past three decades, in 2020 Mike was recruited Managing Director of Lakes Bathrooms Limited.
Free Workshops for Secondary Schools - Best Start in Life ‘Health Hack’

In partnership with Ladywood and Perry Barr Locality Partnership, the Young People Education Community are running FREE workshops in schools around health attitudes and behaviours and the impact they can have on health, in particular reproductive health.

Charity Meetup - get your email marketing working for you

Charity Meetup is a skill-sharing and facilitated networking event for the third sector. It is fun and welcoming but bursting with tips and takeaways. You will have the opportunity to learn from speakers and foster connections to give and get support. We meet virtually every 2nd Tuesday of each month and hold online seminars and in-person events quarterly too. A limited number of free tickets are available to charities (NFPs, CICs etc.) and volunteers for our monthly virtual events.

Annual Dialogue Iftar Dinner on the 26th March 2023 at 18.00 hrs. Our theme is “Ramadan is Community”. The event is aimed at rejoicing the month of Ramadan as well as “Festive Celebrations” of Holi, Passover, Easter, Vaisakhi, Nowruz that are all taking place in March and April to celebrate a diverse range of individuals and communities within Birmingham and surrounding areas.
