Reaching your potential: Essential Workplace Skills (Two Day Course)

This two-day course is designed to give a practical and supportive introduction to a broad range of valuable skills.

You will be able to maximise your productivity and develop strong working relationships.

Who is it for?

The course is designed for administrators, project officers and development workers who are looking to develop a broad range of skills that will help them in their current roles and prepare for management.

Course content

The course is split into two full-days, separated by a gap of a few weeks so you can put new skills into practice before the second session.

Day one

  • What are SMART objectives and how to set them
  • Time management techniques
  • Effective communication skills

Day two

  • Working successfully in teams
  • Strong relationship development
  • Assertiveness skills to handle difficult situations

You will  also be entitled to email based follow up support for a month following completion of the course.

Workshop leader

The trainer is Rob Legge who is a successful independent leadership trainer and coach. Previously he was a Director at Sense, Leonard Cheshire, RNIB and Oxfam as well as enjoying ten years as CEO of Focus Birmingham.
