The webinars are now into the third week since returning after the summer. The sessions on the AEB Community Fund and Information Advice and Guidance were well received by attendees.

What's happening on 20 October?

At this session on 20 October the main theme of the webinar is Social Value, relationships with employers and business to support your work on Employment and Skills.

Key to effective work on employment and skills support to clients is a good understanding of labour markets and industrial sectors. This can be done in a variety of ways but one of the most effective is to develop good direct relationships with employers. Achieving this is not easy, so any help to do so is welcomed by VCFSE organisations. However, did you know that there is support available from the city council to do so? Birmingham City Council is a major contractor of services and using its influence has developed tools and processes to broker relationships between business and community groups in Birmingham.

The webinar on Wednesday 20th October, from 1.00pm to 2.00pm will be looking at this and we are delighted that Rokneddin Shariat, Policy & Governance Manager at Birmingham City Council, will be joining us to take us through the process. Coming to the webinar you’ll be able to hear about how the council is implementing social value, the Birmingham Social Charter and the online website portal “Match My Project” that has been developed to bring business and community together. This is a great opportunity for you to potentially receive support for your organisation and the work you are doing on employment and skills.

For those who have already registered for the webinars and attended any of the first two sessions you will have the joining details for Wednesday’s webinar. It is the same joining details for all the webinars. If you have not registered for the webinars you can do so by signing up below.

Once you’ve registered you’ll be able to attend the webinar on the 20th October and all subsequent webinars.
