What are the events? Birmingham City Council’s Adult Social Care Prevention and Communities Commissioning Team would like to invite Voluntary, Community, Faith and Social Enterprise (VCFSE) organisations to a co-design event focused on the re-commissioning of the Prevention and Communities Grants Programme (P&C Programme), which is due to end on 31st September 2023. Two dates: 10 August 12:30-14:00 15 August 13:00-14:30

What is the Prevention and Communities Programme?
The P&C Programme was last re-commissioned in October 2019 after the 10+ year historical Third Sector Grants Programme was aligned to BCC’s Prevention First Outcomes Framework. Some 45 organisations have since supported tens of thousands of citizens to lead happier, healthier and more independent lives in their own homes and communities and played a key role during the Covid19 pandemic, ensuring no citizen goes without support. The types of organisations commissioned in 2019 can be seen here.

Why should I attend?
Commissioners are keen to hear views of the VCFSE sector on the review of priorities/themes/needs and geographies to focus on for the new P&C Programme set to commence on 1st October 2023. The re-commissioning timeline will also be announced, encouraging organisations to get involved in the process when it opens for applications in 2023.

Amongst a number of events for various stakeholders and citizen groups, there will be 2 specific events for the VCFSE sector. These are on 10 and 15 August. Both events will be exactly the same, giving organisations the chance to attend either of the two.
