It is fun and welcoming and an opportunity to learn from speakers and foster connections to give and get support. We meet virtually every 2nd Tuesday each month and hold seminars and in-person events quarterly too. A limited number of free tickets are available to charities (NFPs, CICs etc.) and volunteers for our monthly virtual events. Agencies and freelancers that support the sector and are happy

To mark our final event of 2023, we have two very special speakers who will inspire you.

10.15 - Inspirational Speaker - Natalie O’Rouke MBE – manager of Park Lane Stables

Natalie runs Park Lane Stables in Teddington, temporarily based in Petersham.

Park Lane Stables is one of the few remaining urban riding schools. Operating in the heart of south-west London, the stables are a lifeline for the community. It is a registered charity and Riding for the Disabled centre, providing opportunities for riding, horse care, carriage driving and equine therapy for those with disabilities and additional needs, or anyone who has experienced difficulties and finds happiness through horses.

Adding to her awards and recognitions, Natalie was awarded an MBE this year after battling a high-profile fundraising campaign when the Stables faced closure. In her talk, Natalie will tell us how she faced adversity to raise over £1m to save the Stables and how she was inspired her to write a book about her experiences, titled Only Heroes and Horses.

10.35 - Wellbeing session, Christine Wright - Lloyd & Co. Employee Benefits

Christine Wright is a consultant for Lloyd & Co. Employee Benefits, which provides a wide variety of low-cost private medical healthcare packages to help support staff with sickness and stress-related issues.

The festive period should be one to look forward to but, with so much uncertainty and pressure on finances, this year may feel tougher than ever. In this session, Christine will outline some of the ways you can look after your physical and mental health to enable you to cope better with the stress that Christmas brings.

She will also talk about how rising sickness and mental health absenteeism are now one of the biggest costs and challenges to charities, and the difficulties this causes in attracting and retaining staff.
