Carers Week 2023- Birmingham Carers Hub Discovery Event

Do you regularly provide unpaid care or support for a family member or friend to help them manage daily tasks? If so, join us for the Birmingham Carers Hub Launch this Carers Week!

When? Wednesday 7 June 2023 between 10:30am and 2:30pm

Where? Touchbase Pears 750 Bristol Road Selly Oak Birmingham B29 6NA

Tell me more? We are offering all those providing unpaid care to a family member or friend an opportunity to:

Enjoy free wellbeing activities such as yoga or massage
Get a free health check
Speak to a range of professionals and pick up information about support available for unpaid carers
Get advice on how to manage with the increased cost of living.
Free tea and coffee available throughout the day.

- The venue is fully accessible and free parking is available to those who have limited mobility due to on going work at the centre . This is at the rear of the building via Selly Wharf, off Elliot Road (next to Vauxhall Lookers).

-There is also FREE on road parking nearby on the neighbouring streets.

Research on older LGBTQ+ adults - Participants wanted

The University of Birmingham, along with the University of Bristol, University of Manchester, and Opening Doors, are doing a study on older LGBTQ+ adult social care assessments. We are currently looking for people to participate in our project and take part in an interview. If you are an LGBTQ+ individual over the age or 60, or if you are a carer providing care for an older LGBTQ+ person, we would like to talk to you.
