Birmingham City Council and Low Carbon Homes are delighted to bring you the second Birmingham Retrofit Summit providing three mornings of online presentations, discussion and networking from 6-8 December 2022.

Join us to develop your understanding of how the UK’s second city, social housing, community partners and supply chain can work together with residents to create better homes, with reduced energy use, to alleviate fuel poverty and support residents through the energy crisis and beyond.

Speakers will be exploring three key themes, focused on scaling up retrofit across Birmingham through collaboration to provide continuous support and consistent delivery.

Day 1 covers how to design and plan to provide long-term continuity for the market through planning and policy consistency; while Day 2 will explore ways to ensure the continuity of retrofit delivery by creating a conducive environment to motivate businesses, education providers and individuals to invest in training, workforce and operations.

Day 3 will cover how retrofit success for Birmingham includes the provision of long-term aftercare to ensure residents benefit not only from living in better homes, but that the interventions have long-lasting wellbeing, economic and societal impact.

Why attend?

>> Develop your understanding of how the city, housing providers, community groups and local businesses can work together to improve building performance and reduce energy use to alleviate fuel poverty and support residents through the energy crisis and the pathway to net zero.

>> Discover how you can play a part in enabling retrofit at-scale in Birmingham and across the West Midlands. Do you have the right skills, knowledge and experience?

>> Bring and share your know-how, ask questions and discuss challenges with peers, colleagues and fellow advocates from across the region to co-create solutions.

The Birmingham Retrofit Summit will be staged online using the dynamic Remo event platform each day from 9am-12pm, enabling installers, contractors, consultants, surveyors, housing providers, community representatives and local authority teams to drop in from any location to suit their schedules. Q&A sessions with a panel of the morning’s speakers and mingling with peers, speakers and sponsors at the virtual conference tables provides high quality networking without the travel time, or large carbon impact.

Providing decarbonisation technical expertise are event partners Adaptavate, Ambion Heating, E.ON, Mixergy, Panasonic and Stelrad.
