Volunteer Peer Mentors needed by New Leaf

Our peer mentor volunteers are in recovery from addiction and are contributing their time at our treatment centre in order to give something back to those just starting out on their journey of recovery. Our treatment centre is residential and is staffed 24/7. Peer mentors are required to support residents by sharing their own experiences, promoting ongoing and visible recovery, and acting as positive role models for our clients. Peer mentors also provide support to our staff team with day-to-day tasks such as helping to facilitate groups, drug testing, room checks and support on admission and discharge. Peer mentors would also be responsible for accompanying our clients to appointments and mutual aid meetings within the community.
