Male volunteer wanted for dads group in Sparkhill
We would like an active man who enjoys running around with children and playing with them - or perhaps someone who likes doing craft activities.
My Dad and Me is a group for pre-school children and their dads on Saturdays monthly from 10:30 am to 12 pm.
It gives children an opportunity to play and learn with their dads in a welcoming place.
Would you like to assist our skilled staff team in ensuring that this stay & playgroup runs smoothly?
The Springfield Project
The Springfield Project is a Birmingham-based charity with a passion for our local community. We are committed to providing a safe and welcoming space in which people from diverse backgrounds can meet and receive support.
The Project developed from St Christopher's Church's commitment to supporting families in the local area and sharing God's love in our community.
We work in partnership with Birmingham Forward Steps to deliver children's centre services providing activities and support for families with children under 5.
We run community wellbeing activities, working to reduce isolation and improve the physical and mental wellbeing of local adults.
What are they looking for?
You do not necessarily need experience of working with children.
Volunteers will help with setting up and tidying up at the end. After the session, there might also be a quick debrief to discuss the families.
Let us know if this sounds like you!
We would prefer male applicants for this role. Community languages are always desirable.
Reasonable travel expenses can be reimbursed.
