Chair of Trustees
Medaille Trust currently operates nine safe houses across England, with up to 112 victims being supported every night. In addition to providing safe housing, we also support law enforcement agencies and work to advance public education about the reality of modern slavery.
Our 2018/19 income was just over £3m: this comprised substantial funding from a Home Office contract for the houses, and generous charitable donations including the rent-free provision of several of the houses.
Our current Chair, Brother Francis, is standing down in early 2020. While the Board includes Trustees of diverse backgrounds and experience, we believe that the new Chair should be a member of the Catholic Church in order to continue the ethos of the Trust. Applications from Religious would be especially welcomed.
Candidates should have recently led an organisation and be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the statutory role and responsibilities of charity trustees.
The role will be for three years initially, with the potential for re-appointment for one further term for up to three years.
To apply please email your CV and covering letter to recruitment[at]medaille-trust.org[dot]uk
Arrangements can be made to discuss the role with the Deputy Chair and/or the CEO by emailing recruitment[at]medaille-trust.org[dot]uk
