2 - 4 hours per week A Community Coordinator volunteer is the heart of the regional community. They are focused on ensuring the community is connected and thriving. This is a fun and sociable role where you will meet new people, connect them and grow our community to enable CYF to help more people find rewarding, meaningful careers and improve their lives.

Tasks include:
1. Events:
Promote, organise and host community events
Write and share promotional material across social channels
Rally and coordinate volunteers to deliver events
Host meetings, welcome newcomers and run energisers
2. Regional Outreach:
Write social media posts for your region
Identify local networks and influencers and engage with them
Attend and represent CYF at local events to attract volunteers and learners
Coordinate onboarding new volunteers and learners
3. Connect the community:
Attend classes and get to know the trainees and volunteers, to collect their stories and share them
Help to manage classes: promote them, welcome guests, take pictures and make sure everyone is integrated
Share posts on slack and encourage members of the community to get involved in the conversation
Reach out to new learners and volunteers to help them feel part of the community
Regional content for the newsletters

The person: Being organised and a self-starter is key to getting the most from this experience. Our organisation thrives when our volunteers share and implement their ideas. We would expect the Community Coordinators to be personable, love working with others and have an interest in sharing stories. Skills such as working as part of a team, problem solving and implementing actions would be of benefit.
