Community and Volunteer Support Worker Due to the Covid-19 pandemic the role has had to develop from the original vision. To further develop the Café Oasis team, we introduced a Community and Volunteer Support Worker (CVSW), to connect and build relationships with other community groups enabling the provision of assistance, support and encouragement for the continuing and increasing needs of the café service users, its volunteers, and their carers. The role also includes developing links with the Parish Nurse, based at the church center, to develop health education for all involved at the café. In the current situation, the role will focus on supporting and promoting the home delivery service, maintaining links with the Parish Nurse, café volunteers, food bank and the local Neighborhood Networking Scheme.
