Getting your Messages Out

Marketing & comunications

Through our communication channels, you can reach out to Birmingham's voluntary and community sector and other key local, regional and national audiences in a cost-effective way.

You can advertise and promote third sector jobs, training courses, events, services and classified adverts.

Our communications channels are diverse and far-reaching. Any advertisements placed with us will be promoted via the following:

  • Our website - www.bvsc.org - currently receives around 15,000 visits per month. Your advertisement will feature on our jobs page, events calendar, training calendar, news page or virtual community noticeboard.
  • Our popular weekly e-bulletin is the go-to place for the latest announcements from Birmingham's third sector. It's sent out each Friday to over 5,000 subscribers based in Birmingham and beyond. Sign up to our Weekly e-bulletin.
  • Our social media channels - Twitter, Facebook and LinkedIn - have an extensive reach and are a highly effective way of getting your message out, or promoting a particular job, event or announcement.

BVSC Weekly website and weekly e-bulletin

Promote your events and activities on the BVSC website. All content submitted to the website will automatically be included our weekly e-bulletin. You can submit content by completing the relevant online form on the advertise page of our website.

Update Brum

In 2016 we launched an online magazine - updatebrum.co.uk. The online magazine gives a direct voice to Birmingham’s voluntary and community sector to share their stories. We encourage organisations and community groups to submit content - stories, opinion and information pieces, organisation “profiles” and case studies.

To contact the editors with pitches/content, please email comms[at]bvsc[dot]org. We are always open to ideas for new, fresh content to help promote your organisation, group or cause!
