Citizens Advice Birmingham is looking for a Generalist Adviser to join our Help to Claim Team, which offers end-to-end support to make a new claim for Universal Credit and until the first payment is made.

Typically, the role is home based with some attendance at our city centre office in Corporation Street required, particularly during the training period.

Excellent customer service and organisational skills, and the ability to use IT are essential, as is the ability to work at pace and to meet performance targets, while maintaining excellent quality standards.

A working knowledge of Universal credit, and advice work experience are desirable but not essential as full training is offered.

The successful applicant will join a team of six advisers, so the ability to contribute within a dynamic team environment is important.
