The Caring for Carers Bereavement & Wellbeing Team

The Caring for Carers Bereavement and Wellbeing service is a consortium of local third sector organisations (Communities in Sync, Crossroads, Ideal for All, Afro Caribbean Centre, KUUMBA Centre and Sandwell Advocacy) working together to support bereaved carers to cope with the loss of their loved one by offering practical support and a range of bespoke services.

The Bereavement and Wellbeing service has a team of specialist officers (pictured) who can visit you in your own home or other location to suit your needs, to identify your requirements and signpost you to other agencies if needed.

Together we can develop an action plan which can include –

  • Integration into the local community
  • Looking at your health needs
  • Give you options to socialise
  • Give you training & employment opportunities
  • Funeral/financial planning
  • Provide you with different options of bereavement support which include – Peer Support Groups, traditional bereavement support, befriending service, group activities, advocacy
  • Access to our Healing Garden project
  • Access to our the Living Memory project
