Pregnancies are not always planned!

By having relevant information and being healthy makes a difference to pregnancy outcomes.

Why do we need to hear about your views?

By hearing about your views and life experiences of pregnancy, it will help us:

  • Improve services in the community and wider for women.
  • Shape future experiences around preparation for pregnancy.
  • Better understand the health and social care needs of pregnant mothers, expectant fathers and wider family support network.

These conversations and their findings will help influence the development of the Infant Mortality Strategy, aiming to reduce infant deaths in Birmingham. Want to hear more about this call for change?

Then get in touch and get involved in the group conversations

Who are the group conversations for?

If you are … 16-64 Years, with a health condition like diabetes, asthma, COPD, heart, lung, kidney disease or suffered with mental health issues.

We would especially like to hear from women from all walks of life and from communities that are rarely heard.

How do I get involved?

We will be holding focus groups via Zoom during April and May 2021. Come and join us and share your views, or tell us about your experiences and help improve services aiming to support and make a positive difference to pregnancy outcomes. By hearing about your life experiences, together we can shape the approach to creating a positive discussion regarding the desire for pregnancy and preparation for pregnancy.
