West Midlands Urban Community Homes (WMUCH) provides knowledge and expertise to inspire and support new groups who want to bring community led homes to their area. We work across the seven metropolitan boroughs of the West Midlands: Birmingham, Coventry and Solihull, plus the four Black Country boroughs of Dudley, Sandwell, Walsall and Wolverhampton. At this exciting time in our development, we are looking for new non-executive Directors to join our Board. Could that be you?

WMUCH provides knowledge and expertise to inspire and support a new wave of community led housing in the West Midlands.

We do this by working with a wide range of stakeholders to help unlock the people, land, finance and development skills needed to enable community led housing.

We are a not-for-profit, member-led Community Benefit Society, set up by housing and community focused organisations. We are funded by Power to Change.

We are particularly looking to complement existing skills and experience on the Board. However, we are keen to hear from a range of applicants and if you don’t have the particular skills and experience below, please don’t let it deter you from applying! If you are passionate about the community led housing movement, we would like to hear from you and hear what you can bring.

Skills and experience:

* Finance, particularly development finance

* Land and planning

* Experience of different housing markets: experience of private, commercial, social or community led would all be welcome. Applications from members of community led organisations or people with a community development background would be particularly welcome
