Birmingham City Council has received grant funding from the Department for Education to coordinate a large-scale holiday activity programme with the inclusion of food for children and young people across the city this summer and over the Christmas period.

We are looking for a number of community and voluntary organisations to help us deliver this ambitious programme, which will provide enriching and exciting holiday activities for children and young people.

We are looking for organisations who can deliver against the 3 core programme outcomes with the expectation of this being for 4 hours per day, 4 days per week for 4 weeks, although there may be some flexibility (additional information is detailed within the application form)

  • Food
  • Physical Activity
  • Enrichment

We appreciate that a number of community organisations will be unable to purchase and prepare food for the programme. We have a central food supply chain in place to support where this is the case (further details within the application form below).

BVSC will manage the grants programme for voluntary, community and social enterprise sectors.

Due to the total value of applications received exceeding the amount of grant funding allocation for the VCFSE sector, the application window has now been closed.

Applications received by 11th July will be processed and submitted to the panel for consideration. Applications received after this date will placed on to a reserve list and will be processed subject to further funding becoming available.

Successful applicants, who submitted their applications by 11th July, will be informed of the decision by 19th July 2021.
