Do you know the pain of living with arthritis? Have you had a knee or hip replacement? Our exciting new pilot programme aims to help people feel less isolated and empower them to take control of their condition. We do this by providing peer support and information, via the phone, across Birmingham. The role is very flexible, and you can volunteer as little as a few hours each month, or more if preferred.

Living Well with Arthritis.

Our aim is to provide a free service where volunteers will phone referrals to offer advice and information to our service users. We will also signpost to community groups for social aspects of their recovery. Through this service we help people to better understand their condition, including pain management, goal setting, exercise, healthy eating, and treatment options.

The role is very flexible, and you can volunteer as little as a few hours each month, or more if preferred. We currently deliver services Tuesday – Friday during the day (10 – 4). You can choose in advance the days of the week and times that you would like to volunteer and full training will be provided.

Volunteering with us will give you the opportunity to be involved in the delivery of a service that truly makes a difference to people living with arthritis. If you are friendly, approachable and have a drive to help others, we would love to hear from you.
